Archive of Women and Girls

The archive represents the women and girls that have come together to make She LL Project a reality since 2009. You will find the participants under "Project Archive of Exhibitions/Actions", each is listed under their first name and not necessarily in a particular order. Also, I will post each archive link as a comment below for this page. This archive is a work in progress and as new participants come forward the documentation of their text and dresses will be added.

These personal articles of clothing and statements are powerful representations that are meant to evoke healing, prevention and break stereotypes commonly associated with sexual abuse, assault and harassment.

My vision is that they stand symbolically for each woman and force the viewer to reflect on a real person, a real story not a statistic or stereotypical image of women or girls who are abused.  They are powerful symbolic “shells” that will encourage women and girls from around the world to come forward and tell their stories. Each individual woman is a link in a chain. My goal is that as each woman comes forward another woman or girl is strengthened.

Additionally as the project grows, the dresses will stand symbolically and be documented in areas where it is otherwise dangerous for women to be.  The goal of She LL project is to travel internationally and be exhibited in museums, galleries and public spaces and flourish to hundreds, even thousands of symbolic dresses exhibited around the world.
